Supporting Our Community – PetAssist Satety Net
We’re proud to share that we are approaching a significant milestone—our 100th patient supported through the PetAssist Safety Net program in Tasmania. Together, we’ve delivered over $50,000 in free urgent veterinary care back to the Tasmanian community.
PetAssist Safety Net is a collaborative initiative co-designed by Petsure, VetChat, VetPartners, and our clinic. The program is focused on improving access to essential veterinary care for pet owners experiencing financial hardship.
By combining 24/7 telehealth support with subsidised in-clinic urgent care, the program creates a strong support network for vulnerable pet owners. It also works closely with veterinary clinics and community organisations to ensure help is available when it’s needed most.
Importantly, this initiative is supported by University of New South Wales and the Black Dog Institute, who are helping measure its impact on both veterinary teams and the wider community—ultimately helping keep families and their pets together for longer.
